Pelíšky, a Czech word, with no direct English translation but simply put means “a cozy den or space” Situated in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang district, attached to the local creative retail area of GMBB, Pelíšky is indeed a cozy refuge from the city chaos and a community-driven, “sip & chill”, co-working-friendly space. Co-founded by a trio of F&B / hospitality veterans and a former corporate art director turned freelance digital nomad, with signature drinks crafted by a head barista who regularly moonlights within the city's DJ circuit, the cafe is a beautiful reflection of the eclectic, expressive and diverse backgrounds of the people that founded it, run it and occupy it. Built for the community, by the community, Pelíšky has quickly become a home for a wide spectrum of KL collectives since opening in February 2026. From chess clubs, comedy nights, and guest DJ sets to matchmaking events, Harry Potter trivia nights, crochet clubs and climate change lectures, it is a welcoming space for every occasion for every individual.
